Mr Robertson is a doctor with huge experience. He put me completely at my ease and explained the procedure fully and precisely. I had 100% trust in him and went into theatre more than confident. My operation went smoothly and the speed of my recovery far exceed all expectations....due in no small part to his skill. Follow up care was excellent...not that I needed any, more a case of expressing my thanks for such immaculate and efficient work.
I have already recommended him to a friend who is in need of the same surgery. That really says it all.

I cannot speak too highly of Mr Robertson. In dealing with my recent hernia operation Mr Robertson was attentive, professional and reassuring. He was able to answer all my queries and concerns at every stage of the process and put my mind at rest. The actual operation went smoothly and I was very pleased with the immediate aftercare service and follow up appointments Mr Roberson put in place.

I was referred by the NHS to Mr Robertson at Nuffield Leicester with gallstones. I would like to say that the complete experience was absolutely everything that a perfect hospital treatment should be. For every visit I was seen earlier than my appointment time never waiting more than a few minutes. Mr Robertson (I feel as if I should call him Gavin) listened attentively to what I had to say and explained clearly the treatment and possible consequences. It's now 4 weeks since my gall bladder was removed and there is barely a mark visible to show where he has operated. Once more I would take this opportunity to say thank you Gavin. You set the bar for others to aspire to!

Gavin Robertson is a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, especially surgery for gallstones having performed more than 4500, with no bile duct injuries and hernias;- inguinal, incisional, umbilical and ventral (more than 5000), He is an expert in the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain and the management of liver and pancreas cancers.
He qualified in 1984 in Leicester, trained in centres across the world before becoming a Consultant in 1999. He has specialised in laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years.
